STAR COLLEGE BACKGROUND

Star College of Management Studies started its operations on 2nd July 2001 as a tertiary college to train professional qualifications in Accountancy, Finance and Management.

Over a period of time, and to align its training with the market demands, the college diversified and currently is offering and training a wide range of professional qualifications in Accountancy, Finance, Corporate Governance, Human Resource Management, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Forensic & Fraud Audit, and ICT through various modes of delivery including virtual learning.

Further, in 2017, the college realised the disconnect between theory and practice, and limited transfer of knowledge to workplace.

To bridge this gap, the college pioneered and introduced a practical paper in financial modelling in Excel and Equity valuation training to facilitate the behaviour change and transfer of knowledge to workplace in a classroom environment.

To date, the programme is ongoing.
